PolyAn introduces new DNA Combing Instrument

PolyAn extends its portfolio of tools for DNA research with the launch of a new DNA Combing Instrument.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new DNA Combing Instrument. With the introduction of the new instrument PolyAn extends our portfolio of tools for the research community working with DNA Combing.

The new instrument has both a higher capacity and increased flexibility with regards to the combing parameters. A graphical user interface facilitates operation of the instrument. PolyAn now also offers Sample reservoirs for DNA combing solutions that are also compatible with the legacy systems from Genomic Vision.

What is DNA combing?

DNA combing (also called molecular combing) is a biochemical technique to produce an array of uniformly oriented and stretched DNA. The uniform orientation and stretching of the combed DNA is beneficial for nucleic acid hybridization studies such as fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), as it increases the accessibility for the hybridization target sequences as well as the resolution for the optical detection.
