3D-Carboxy functionalized Beads
PolyAn’s 3D Carboxy microparticles with antifouling behavior are suitable for coupling of proteins, antibodies, and other amine-terminated molecules.
The activation of Carboxyl groups with EDC (1-Ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide) and NHS (N-hydroxysuccinimide) leads to highly reactive esters, which can be easily reacted with nucleophiles, e.g. Amines or Hydrazines. The NHS-ester reacts with the NH²-groups of biochemical species to form a covalent bond with the surface.
PolyAn can functionalize all the beads from our portfolio with the Carboxy surfaces:
